1. stand someone up 放(某人)鸽子、失约
I can't stand the way she always stands me up。我受不了她老是放我鸽子。
2.come hell or high water 不论有什么困难或障碍; 不管发生什么事情
He is determined to finish the job come hell or high water. 他决心无论如何都要把工作完成。
3.Put it on one's tab 记在某人的账上
One more please. Just put it on my tab. 请再来一份,记在我的帐上好了。
4.Pain in the ass 眼中钉、肉中刺
